I hope that this works, I have attached some unusual examples of Guide Books from my collection.

Perhaps this will show you why I became interested in them.

Later I'll try to get some pictures of some of the special editions that are available, and what nots.

    In order:
    1) a copy of the 1976 Guide Book bound into the cover of Neil Shafer's Modern US Currency book.
Signed by both Shafer & Yeoman.
    2) A copy with the cover completely inverted and imprinted. this is the cardboard that you cannot see inside the covers, with the normal red cover bound into the book.
    3) A mis-aligned imprint on the cover.

    Next an interesting find

This is a copy of the Blue Book (HandBook) of US coins.
This particular piece was originally in the library of Whitman Publishg, but, apparently it was discarded during the period when Whitman was being sold and resold.
[They went thru a number of owners over the years.]
This is from 1943 and is the second edition issued, as shown. The copywrite date is written in by hand.
It is in near new condition.

Think my copy of "The Comprehensive Catalogue and Encyclopedia of U.S. Morgan and Peace Silver Dollars" by Van Allen and Mallis is worth much?
It appears to be a second printing (1977) of the second edition (1976).
Only thing special is that it's signed by Van Allen.

Nice books Frank. I can't afford the 1947 edition but purchased one of the Commemorative copies. At a glance, pretty neat how much some of these values have increased since those times.
