Nice, I especially like this comment: "Morton and Eden said the precise location of the field is being kept secret to deter bounty hunters. "

I always thought that bounty hunters went after criminals or those who skipped bail.
    But, buried coins?

Lot of things have been selling for high prices lately. There also has been a weird trend going on in the comic industry for high sales.

As for a bounty hunter being used as a term is odd since bounty is usually a reward or payment for something being done. They should have just said treasure hunter.

    :)

There's gold in them thar hills!

I bet there are 1000s of gold coins scattered all over the UK waiting to be found.

My girlfriends dad found a George III gold sovereign in the field beside my house with his detector. So there are more than just ancients lying around

No idea what on earth that was doing lying around.
    It was buried treasure possibly.

Me however I'd be over the moon finding a pound coin lol.

Lucky guy, the field owner gets a cut though i believe...he's more lucky.
