Won a few wheat penny roles on Fleabay recently. Found a lot of good stuff including a 1909 VDB brown in good condition. Wanted to get some feed back on the following: This is a 1920 penny in great condition. It looks like a proof. the pics don't do it justice. Not sure what I'm dealing with here. This next one is a 1956 d in pristine condition. Again the pics don't do it justice. The next is a pristine 1958 d which may have a minting error. It looks like the S in Trust was struck twice and not damaged elsewhere b/c it appears part of the metal from the penny was melted on it as on the right side on the obverse. I don't think it was damaged outside of the mint b/c the rest of it is pristine. Having a problem uploading the reverse but I will represent there is no damage on it Thoughts? Value? Slab? Thanks!
#1: nothing special #2: ditto #3: likely minor lamination @ 3:00. Photo is too blurry to tell much of anything else. Minimal value and definitely not worth slabbing. With most of these rolls offered on ebay, if purchased, it should be for the novelty only. Its not that a few decent coins cannot be found (depending on your taste), but just don't expect to find anything obvious of real value.
