awesome tokens. The umbrella & Parasols takes the cake for me, but they are all sweet.

Very nice! I also like the Hart token but wonder why they didn't use a heart for one of the cards!

Very nice Cheetah. The NY- 820 A is beautiful. Wood's Minstrels also issued counterstamped coins as well as the tokens, so it would be nice to have one as a companion piece. I try to do that with my counterstamps. If the issuer also has a token I keep an eye out for one. Great pickups!

    Indeed Bruce.

I also make a determined effort to acquire c/s specimens to accompany their token counterparts.

Here is an article about Wood's Minstrels on my research site, with its partner c/s specimen.

    Thanks.

Below please find three Hard Times tokens also acquired at this year's Whitman Baltimore show.

Though these particular varieties are frequently encountered, they are less frequently encountered in these grades.

    Thanks,

    Cheetah

Thanks for the history of Wood's Minstrels Cheetah. I knew some history of the group but not nearly as extensive as your article. Excellent research on a very interesting topic. Also love the HTTs. Great stuff!
