I'm very impressed. I bought them off of a dealer I found on VCoins. I figured that the photographs on his website would make the coins look a little better than they actually are but actually two of the coins are in better condition than the photo. I'm trying to take my own photos of them but have been unsuccessful so far. Is it a no-no to just use the photographs that the dealer has on his site? Also, what is a common time frame to relieve the coins? I purchased them on Jan 31st all from the same dealer. I received seven of them on Feb 9th and I'm still waiting on a lot of 10 unattributed and one other separate.
We have no idea what camera you have and what might cause the problem but many common cameras have a macro mode that requires you to set a button to allow close focus. Look for a little tulip design and see if pressing that button brings up a macro option. Technically, buying the coin does not grant you the rights to the photo of that coin but very few dealers are going to complain if you use their photo for personal use after you bought their coin. You should still learn to photograph them yourself but it is not likely anyone will say anything about your 'stealing their intellectual property' by posting the photo and saying how happy you are with the dealer.
I have no idea what camera I have :headbang: There is a tulip option somewhere on it. The symbols show up on the screen. I'll play around with it. In the meantime, I get some of the coins that I bought on here........
There is no universal answer here. I got two coins in the mail today. Both were from different states over 2000 miles bought 8 days ago. I have received others in 4 days and some from India in less than two weeks. A member here and I traded coins that took over a week to arrive going both directions but he had snow measured in feet and I had no mail delivery for two days due to the single foot we got. You have to allow for many factors but longer times generally mean people shipping slowly rather than four feet of snow. Also read carefully. Some dealers clearly state that they only go to the post office on Wednesday and hold orders received on Thursday until the following week.
That's what I figured. There's been a lot of snow throughout the country. Just anxious to see what the unattributed lot brings me.
