Really Strange looking 1995 Lincoln Cent

It feels gritty like sandpaper... maybe exposure to a deteriorating chemical? Very strange looking!

    PMD .. Plenty nonMint Damage like someone had dropped it on the ground whilst they were sandblasting something.

    The plating is coming off. Soon that coin will be a black lump of crud.

    Acidic environment most likely. But looks like a lot of @paddyman98 finds from the beach.

    Yes it is.. But not strange enough to be any kind of mint error. Just Environmental Damage. A number of things could affected thin copper plating over zinc.
    Go into direct sunlight for 6 hours straight without sunblock and see what happens to your skin!
