    Hello-
Received a coin for my wedding a few weeks ago, I do not collect coins, and know nothing about them. Was wondering if anyone could tell me about this coin, I don't want to sell it, just curious about it...thanks

Many private mints and companies gold plate coins. Often these are part of TV or Mail order promotions. While they sell for a few dollars a piece, once the coin is gold plated it loses much of its numismatic value.
