I got this last week, it weighs 2.9 grams, does anyone know if it is authentic? and if it does appear to be authentic, is it worth anything? Thanks

While I do not see anything suspicious, I should point out that these coins are widely faked. I am absolutely no expert, but, if is proves to be authentic, the value should be between $35 and $50. Here is one I got two years ago for $43 shipped:

Coin of the op seems to be a fourrée (plated ?).

Now that you mention it Batman, it does look like a fouree. How have you been Batman? Haven't seen you around much lately.

I agree that appears to be a fourée. I collect such pieces, but never at a premium. I've collected a handful of fourées and AE denarii and barbarous coins, but only the ones that have been sitting on dealers' shelves until they get marked down to almost nothing because nobody wants them. I'd be willing to pay maybe $25 for that coin, but keep in mind that I'm a cheapskate. Someone else might pay more.
