Have a look at this and tell me what do you think. Real or Fake Trade $? Or is there too many fakes to just tell the difference
that one screams fake to me, but I'm not an expert. The separation of detail in the devices looks funny.
I'm not going to say for sure either until more specific info is provided. Although, the coin does have a cast look about it and by looking at the picture from what I can tell, the denticles look to be seperated from the rim, usually a sure sign of a fake.
look at the comparative size & shape of the stars, as opposed to viper's coin. Also, compare, size & location of the mintmark. Sorry, but NG.
On the slabbed coin the leftmost part of the '1' lines up with the 'G' in God. In the 1st coin the '1' goes much further left. The rest of the date seems to be slightly different too...
Check the rim , on some fakes ,they are put in by hand 1 at a time , where they meet they sometimes overlap , also with a high power loupe , check the fields for little raised cast marks . This one looks fake to me . JMO rzage
I am going to say it is a fake. I say this becuase the feathers on the eagle are too far apart, and looking funky.
Check the words "Trade Dollar".....the distance from the rim in the graded coin is different from the distance to the rim of the coin in question. Also...no expert on trade dollars...just a humble observation.
looks fake to me although if you could post a pic of the edges and how much it wieghs I would be able to decide
This is from an auction so i cant tell you the weight since the seller doesnt want to provide it.. so i am guessing its a fake as well.. thanks for all the replies guys!
it has slight errors on it like you would get from a real die, but it also looks like it's in too good of shape to be real. Flip the coin. Heads, it's real, Tails, it's fake. That's your best bed
