Recently added to NumisWiki... Reading Judean Coins to Identify and Understand Them The article teaches how to transliterate and translate Paleo-Hebrew inscriptions on ancient Judean coins to identify the ruler and type. It sounds hard, but the article makes it easy. The attached image shows sample of the coin types and inscriptions covered. http://www.forumancientcoins.com/numiswiki/view.asp?key=Reading+Judean+Coins
@JSermarini Joe: THANK you for joining us! I love your site, although I do not particpate as much in the threads as I should. You bring a LOT of value to my collecting interests. Brian
This is a subject about which I feel completely ignorant and suspect it will take quite a bit of squinting at my less than the best coins to match up details so clearly shown on those great illustrations. Thank you for the great effort!
What an informative and useful page @JSermarini ! When I click on the link it tries to take me to Facebook (which I don't have) so I hope you don't mind if I repost the link directly to your new page. http://www.forumancientcoins.com/numiswiki/view.asp?key=Reading Judean Coins
Thanks I didn't intend to use a link that goes via Facebook. I copied my Facebook post to make this one and didn't realize it would do that.
