    Reading Judean Coins to Identify and Understand Them

    The article teaches how to transliterate and translate Paleo-Hebrew inscriptions on ancient Judean coins to identify the ruler and type. It sounds hard, but the article makes it easy. The attached image shows sample of the coin types and inscriptions covered.

    This is a subject about which I feel completely ignorant and suspect it will take quite a bit of squinting at my less than the best coins to match up details so clearly shown on those great illustrations. Thank you for the great effort!
