Also; does the new scratch resistant really work and worth it for 10 dollars?

Why not? Does it lower the grade at all if it's in a 2x2?

The only reason i want it in a ngc slab is because its a 1878 8tf which is probably one of my favorites :) i know pics arent great, i try though

Hunt1 I think what Numismatist47 is trying to say is that it's not worth your trouble to get it re-graded. I'm not sure if I agree or not.

Numismatist47 there is a possibility that in a 2x2 it will get scratched by another coin or something else.

You knock her out of that slab and place her in a 2x2, she'll get a nice tone going ;)

I've always liked those 2x2 box holders. They kind of emanate a sort of "I have so many coins that I don't even care how they're stored!"

    Just my preference :D

    hamman88 Spare some change, sir?

I wouldn't reholder it unless you were already sending in other coins for grading. That way you save on shipping.

I believe you will receive the new edge view holder you are looking for. Their web site has a lot of good info on submitting coins. If you are a ANA member you can open an account and submit directly yourself. If not you can always look for a NGC dealer in your area and submit through them. To get you started check this link...http://www.ngccoin.com/services/submitting.asp

Edit: Or as Chris just posted, call their customer service department.

I believe they will give you the new slab as that is now their standard. I'd call to be sure, they are great at customer service.
