Good morning! I just want to ask about any rule about reposting a thread that didn't a respond/comment? I was hoping to get an opinion on a nickel that I have. I posted it this past Monday in the error coin section. It's a '76-D possible DDO/DDR. Thanks
This thread.. https://www.cointalk.com/threads/76-d-nickel-ddo-ddr.306219/ I was thinking Die Deterioration Doubling on both sides
No, please do not 'bump' . We remove such. Some use the tactic to increase their post count. If a thread does not get a response, research the item more on the internet to see if you can make your question more interesting. Many people ignore posts and threads that just ask questions which do not seem well thought out , such as " what coin in the photo is valuable" or " what can I buy to flip for 10X". Some questions may take a while for a good answer, so be patient. With over 40,000 members in many countries, there is often some delay before someone answers.
I didn't think so of course , many are so use to it on other forums ( I am on few others at times) that it occurs. Before Peter added "likes", post count was the thing that newbies used to gain "seniority". If a bump adds to the thread or subject that is fine, but most just put "bump". Jim
Just ejection doubling. Better pics with better lighting and focus would help too. The problem is that most people just assume every coin that appears to show doubled lettering is a doubled die and just want to know what they can sell it for. And they don't learn from the comments made and keep putting stuff up wanting other people to do all of the work. This is probably the most asked question, and people on the forum tire of them. Just an FYI.
I'm sorry for the late reply. Been out of the loop. Anyway, in response to Mr Finn's comment, I understand the frustration for some members with regards to seeing/reading and answering the same questions especially about doubled die. To be honest, that is one of the reason I have stopped posting because I feel embarrassed because to this day I still have trouble identifying a true doubled die. For those who are tired from die inquiries but continue to reply and share their knowledge , thank you.
Special thanks to cmp9ball, paddyman98 and booksb4coins who tirelessly respond and continues to comment on my posts. I do appreciate it.
