re-grading of coins

i i want my coins regraded (by ngc or pcgs) that are already in capsules from other grading companies, do i have to break them open to send them in? or can i just send it like that and have them do it?

you're going to want to break them out first.

 

I'm pretty sure that they will crack them out for you.

 

i hope so, i wouldn't want to go through the trouble of cracking them (and eventually damaging them ) myself

 

PCGS and NGC will crack your coins out of the slabs and reholder them in most cases. If the coin is cleaned or would "body bag" then they leave it in the slab it is in.
