Hi, I am interested in collecting coins from India. Here is a photo of the back and front of a coin from King Ranjit Singh's era. Does anyone know how much it is worth and have any further information about it? Thanks for your help.

Rnajit Singh ruled the Sikh Empire for the first 39 years of the 19th century. Your coin seems to be in good condition and (if sold in the UK or US) could fetch a decent sum due to its rarity

I doubt this is a coin, which means that it has little chance to have any significant value. IMO, it's more likely a token or medal of some kind, possibly from the late 19th or early 20th century by the general style.

It does not resemble in the slightest anything issued by Ranjit Singh. His issues were far cruder in all respects and the barely recognizable images contained on his coinage would never have included a picture of a man. His copper coinage in general is also fairly common.

Definitely some kind of a fantasy issue, not a coin. And from the styling I would think made in the 20th century.
