I've got a couple of ideas for a very inexpensive detection method but need a verified fake coin to test on. Anybody have one they would like to provide for the testing? If so PM me. I'd be looking for fake Franklins, Walkers, ASEs, or Peace Dollars and selected commemoratives. What I'm considering is absolutely non-destructive and you'll get the item returned. Ken
Will your method detect both cast or struck fakes in any composition? Electrotypes? Altered genuine coins? Low pressure and high pressure casts?
Will probably only be useful for alloyed coins but might be useful for the others except for the altered genuine coins
