New to the world of numismatics, it's hard to feel like you're getting a good deal compared to the prices of yester-year. Trying to build up my confidence in cherry picking, I present my case to CoinTalk.

Listed Fall 2019 as XF, BIN $15.

I liked the toning on the obverse, but the back is what is stunning.

What do y'all make of it? AT? AU or MS?

20201011_224033~2.jpg I only see the slightest wear on the leg's feathers, but breast looks untouched. Besides two contact marks on liberty's leg, this coin is clean from marks (scratches on case). I wish I had better coin photography, it doesn't show how striking the contrast of the uncirculated breast feathers with the dark gold toning are.

You paid how much ? $15 . That's retail . I wouldn't have it graded. Too much to do. At least VF-40 , maybe AU50. They made 80 million of them. Very common.

I think AU something, maybe 53, based on what I can see of field luster in the op.
from the description, probably looks better in hand. Looks like a nice example that hasn't been cleaned or dipped.

It definitiely looks better than EF to me. The photo is fuzzy, but it might go as high as AU-58. The luster appears to be all there and the coin has original, undipped surfaces. At $15 it was a good buy.

Thanks for the feedback guys. After checking photograde, I have a hard time seeing this below AU. Wish grading fees were cheaper to justify my curosity on this one

The eagle looks good to me. Hard to see from the pictures but the front leg could be due to a weak strike. The key is to look for luster break on the leg and on the upper edge of the wings to determine whether XF, au or MS. The obverse is just to blurry to tell.

Nice original looking coin. $15 was a good price.

Great result for a $15 coin. It basically tells you they liked the coin, she has original skin, but due to obvious wear they couldn’t go any higher.
