Awesome question . . . one which I surely don't know the answer to, but a long time dealer I know once bought an original bank-wrapped roll of 100 BU seated half dimes . . . yes, 100 and not 50. I thought that was a very cool factoid. I can imagine that 100 pieces might similarly have been rolled together for the just-as-thin 3 cent silver pieces and quite possibly for gold dollars, although I don't know of classic gold coinage being rolled at all. I can't wait to see what stories this thread turns up.
