Hello every one This is a very nice 1990 franklin 100 $ with errors Please tell me what you think. Grades anyone?and what about price Thanks
pictures are unavailable to me, not sure if the same holds true for everyone else... i will try again later though! i look foward to see them notes
AWESOME! Gutter fold and a butterfly or is it? Gotta look again. Hard to put a value on it but worth a heck of a lot more than $100. NICE FIND! clembo
a book i have would call this a borderline major gutterfold with a value at around 300 dollars but is probly very out of date
WOW!!!!! i can clearly see the pictures now (after i wipe the drowl off my face) That is major! I cant really see this note selling for $350, but could be wrong. To me, i would think an error like this would sell for MORE! So looking at the note, the paper was folded when it recieved the printingsm on the front - and unfolded when it got the pritings on the back. Weird, cool, awsome ... anything else to say?
Actually, this note became folded between the first and second printings (reverse is printed first, following by obverse, followed by overprint). I'm way out of date on prices, but I will say this with a high degree of certainty, This note falls into the category of HIGHLY DESIRABLE!!! Congrats.
thanks gatzdon, i figured i was somewhat close to the order lol, one side was printed, something happened, then the other side was printed. I was just wrong on all 3 I agree on the desireable-ness of this note. I would be interested to see what a note like that would sell for -- possible research while i am in class later.. hmmmm
jon is correct! this would certainly qualify as a MAJOR gutter fold worth more than $350.00! $100.00 errors of any real magnitude are 3rd in rarity behind the $2.00 & $50.00 denoms.... $2.00's being the rarest. your gutterfold would retail closer to $500.00 - $700.00, given the results of the errors in the latest Heritage volley could see upwards of $850! very nice note on a tough denomination for the dramatic!
