    I thought it was interesting that the writer of the article chose to quote,

    "The coin is exceptional," said Gibson, "because this is the first time that a coin of this kind has turned up in Jerusalem in a scientific dig. Coins of this type are usually only found in private collections, where we don't have clear evidence as to place of origin."

    The part I bolded seems to be less about the coin and more about the collectors-vs-archaeologists vibe that's been percolating lately, and that doesn't get referenced at all for the rest of the article.
