The denarii of the three shortlived emperors in 192/3 AD, Pertinax, Pescennius Niger and Didius Julianus, are traditionally rare/expensive to find in relatively good condition. Although, recently, more Pertinax denarii appeared on the market (mostly from Alexandria),those of Didius Julianus and to a lesser degree those of Pescennius Niger remain elusive to the collector wishing to complete his portrait gallery of Roman Emperors. Herebelow is my Pescennius Niger, not of best quality. Perhaps some members of this group may have some better coin to show, also, possibly from Didius Juianus.
Tough coin. I've never had Pescennius Nigher, or Didius Julianus. Pupienus was probably the scarcest emperor I've had so far.
