    Here I go again.
Krause lists this Netherlands 1818 10 cent as having a mintage of 48, and my ancient Dutch catalog set the number at 60. I'm guessing that this number fluctuates according to what shows up in the coin market. Is that right? Maybe I have coin #49.

I was a little shaky just putting it into an air-tite, and my friend didn't help by yelling, "Hockey puck!" :D

Marianne, that is a very nice Dutch silver 10c. coin. The crowned 'W' monogram is that of King Willem I (ruled 1815-40).His son,King Willem II (ruled 1840-49) & grandson,King Willem III (ruled 1849-90) also used the same monogram as well.

    Aidan.

Girl - you keep posting coins like that and I'm liable to fall in deep like  :D

My 1998 edition of the Dutch catalog matches the mintage given in Krause of 48 - and it is a Proof by the way. You need to get that coin authenticated and into a bank vault pronto ! ;)

Don't make me use the eyelashes, you sweet-talker you. ;)

Yep, I need to have a few coins authenticated and stashed away. There's an 1850 gulden that seems to be a proof, too...
