This coin is in a auction, I personaly would rather have coins raw, but in a protective holder. I like slabed coins if they are errors or OFF-METAL for authentication purposes, as with even some graded coins posted here, we all have opinions as to lesses grades than they slabed it as.
The curious thing about this piece is that it saw a reasonable bit of circulation or was kept as a pocket piece curiousity before it was saved for posterity. It was not unusual for less dramatic errors to circulate a fair bit, coins with minor clips for instance.
