I've been looing everywhere for information on this coin. It's a silver troy ounce. This is not like the normal coin from pictures I have seen. One side has the Great Seal of the President the eagle has 13 arrows in the right and a branch in the left and the agles legs are spread apart. In a circle like a regular one it says ONE TROY OUNCE .999 SILVER but then stars on the bottem of the circle. Then on the other side where the liberty face is ....it normally has 13 stars with the date at the bottem but this one has 17 with no date at the bottem. Her face in pointed to the right and in her hair is a branch with a piece of ribbon draped and in her hair reads LIBERTY. Also at the top of this coin it reads In God We Trust. It also has no mint mark. Very werid, very interesting. Please respond if you have any information or commets about this coin. I've just posted the pictures......they are blurry...I know It decreses the value but I cleaned the coin, It was looked very old then not so much now. This sound more like a silver round then a coin its value would be silver bullion. As for which mint made it a picture could help with that.
It sounds like a silver round meant to resemble classic US coin designs. These are fairly common, and the coin is worth silver melt (about $14), with maybe a small premium for the design if it was placed on ebay.

Yes, it says Troy Ounce - that means it contains one troy ounce of silver and that's all it means. It is not a coin, it is made by a private mint and sold for the value of the silver only.
The good news is that silver rounds trade as bullion, and nobody cares whether bullion has been cleaned or not. Just don't do it to real coins! You could literally strip hundreds, or even thousands, of dollars off the price of some older silver coins by eliminating their tarnish. That bit of silver looks very much like the Barber Quarter & Half Dollar.Well,at least,it isn't deceptive for a change. Aidan.
