Rare 1792 penny sells for $1.15 million?

Beautiful cent piece!! I once heard that there was other coins (denominations) that had a silver center, anyone know anything? Are all of them equally expensive? :thumb:

Um....no.

The silver was added to make the cent worth...one cent.

The silver center was supposed to be worth 3/4 a cent, and the copper 1/4 a cent.

And to REDUCE the weight. The as authorized all copper cent weighed four times as much.
