Rainbow 1909-VDB Proof???

    Could this puppy be a proof? If not, it sure is a pretty toned coin. Also, what would it grade? Pics:

    It looks nothing like a Proof to me. It doesn't have the strike/detail, surfaces, or squared edges of a Proof. I also think the color looks unnatural.

    I am no expert on these, but I do not think it is a proof. The color of the coin and just the way the surfaces look make me think ms70. Again - wait for someone that knows more about this than me.

    Thanks for the quick reply. I didn't think it was a proof either but it doesn't hurt to ask :)

    The toning is caused by fingerprints as well. I'm glad it didn't tone black or brown, but instead blues, pinks, and reds :)

    i think i would grade it around EF. i also think it has really nice natural tone. cool coin man.
