So @chrsmat71's quiz thread yesterday reminded me that I had started work on one some time ago and had never gotten around to finishing it. That was motivation enough for me to come up with a few more questions today and publish it. It's 15 questions in total covering some numismatic knowledge and more historical background, difficulty ranging from easy to (I think) slightly challenging. I'm sure some of you will be acing this quiz, but the point is more that I hope in giving answers I'll provide you some info not previously known. Clock's not ticking on this one, so feel free to answer at leisure, and post your results if you feel like it! Here's the link to the quiz: http://quizrevolution.com/ch/a241564 Enjoy!
Good quiz! Some questions were straightforward (identify the emperor) and some required another layer or two of thinking. I missed a couple.
I missed several, especially when I couldn't decide among two 'most likely correct' answers ...... Very cool quiz--- but it made me think a bit more than I'm used to LOL
I did this on a whim should've waited like Bing. Instead answering on quick first impulse I like Mikey missed several I should've known.
oh man, 600 ....brutal! LOL! it's a well done quiz Z, thanks for putting it together! i'll be in the corner if anyone needs me.
Yeah, in hindsight, some questions may have been difficult to get, particularly for those getting started in this area. But I hope the answers at least provided some new knowledge... that really is what makes collecting ancients so interesting afterall .
it's a very well done quiz zumbly with a good mix of questions types. the dupondius question was very good, and it got me...my brain just put pulled up a number but didn't REALLY think about it...so i got it wrong. i enjoyed it! i'd like to see some scores from some of the advanced coin "students" there.
I finally had time to take this quiz and it's a good-un. I scored 1200 but I had to guess on several (when in doubt, select C). Since I know very little about the late Roman Empire, one of the questions that stumped me was the Arcadius relation. Fun taking the quiz.
I stank that up with a 400. I did not research any of the answers, maybe I should have. oh well, I am more of a Greek collector who dabbles in Roman... John
Thanks for the quiz, Z-Bro ...... I didn't exactly nail this test Ummm, is there a remedial exam for half-wits?
For a second there I read "medical exam for half-wits" . In any case, I don't know... I'm thinking it may have been too hard with the historical info. I have a couple of questions for a Greek quiz, so that's in the works, and will probably easier.
