Quicky Collections you are working on.

  1. For some unknown reason to me I have decided to collect all the 1935 series of $1
    silver certificates. They are not particularly rare or valuable. To qualify they
    must be graded by PCGS and have a grade of 63 or higher with PPQ. Currently I
    have excluded the Hawaii, North Africa and experimental notes from what I am
    trying to collect. Although I have a North Africa and am waiting on a Hawaii to
    return from grading. So far I have a 1935A, 1935C, 1935D, 1935E and a 1935H.

    I beg to differ on the not rare or valuable. Even if you're not planning on getting the North Africa or Experimental note. There are some rare blocks and rare series that are really hard to find. Not to mention expensive when in high grades.

    When we start collecting paper Money...the reasons for doing so can be difficult to explain at times.
    Sounds like you know the direction you would like to go...sticking to it is the hard part. Patience in waiting for higer graded notes is required as well as some $$$$ more so if you decide to add all the stars.

    Good luck

    I posted these on another site where the same topic was posted . . .

    My quirky collections include Government Printing Office change coupons and War Department Montgomery Ward checks.

    I concur. There are rare stars and blocks, not to mention the 1935G inverted star.

  7. I guess I am approaching this a little differently. Not with the granularity you are looking at it.
