I have a no date standing liberty quarter with no stars under eagles breast on reverse. This would make the coin either a 1916 or 1917, I have heard there are certain markers to distinguis the two dates. Does anyone know what the markers are? Thanks for any help

It is so worn I can't see the bead markers above her head but the hair looks like 1917 and so does the gown, this coin was circulated heavily and I got it in a silver scrap lot. Thought I might get lucky. lol

We can confirm it if you post pictures. I have been studying this date for a while, and there are numerous diagnostics that make it fairly easy to distinguish. I recently found a dateless 1916 in a junk lot, and compared it to a 1917 in a similar grade. My 1916 is at anacs now, and I expect it to come back as a FR02.
