quick question about PCGS and vams

I keep hearing about how PCGS now attributes VAMS, but I was wondering if you have to pay the fees(clearly you have to pay extra to get the designations), or can I simply submit the coins for grading, and receive no VAM designation? I'm not interested in VAMS at the moment, and would simply like a grade on my slab.

I think they only do the top 100...and from what I hear they do it free..but I find that hard to believe. :D

They do the Hot 50 Morgans and Top 50 Peace VAMs too. But I think they charge $15 for you to get them attributed, so it's a good idea to know what you have before you send them in. Also they won't attribute really EDS coins, so take that into consideration when sending the coins in.

If you don't want the VAM designation, that's easy, just send them in.;)

They now or very soon (I'm pretty sure it's now, they've been doing the top 100 and top 50 for awhile now.) will do all of them. If you don't want the VAM designation just don't pay the extra fee. They will still grade the coin, they just won't attribute it.

I think it's an extra $15 if you want to get a VAM attribution. You can also send in existing PCGS slabbed coins and add the VAM designation for $15. Don't quote me on the pricing.

They do the Top 100 and Hot 50 Morgans, Top 50 Peace dollars... and several other VAMs.
