With ALL thing being EQUAL (Remember that) is a PR70 Ultra Cameo the highest grade a coin can get. This is just a general question.

I am new to coin collecting so I am just trying to get some quesitons answered.

I have to be honest, sometimes members on this site can be a tab bit....shall I say vicious....lol.

Thanks for playing along with me.

I think so, unless you count the cac stickers. Just remember there are still high side of the grade and low side of the grade and that TPG's can/do make mistakes.

You can probably ignore cac stickers. PR70 is the highest grade for proof coins. MS70 is the highest grade for uncirculated coins. Proof isn't a condition. Proof is just a different method of production that results in the mirror-like finish on some coins that are made for collectors.

I think it would be so cool to have a PR70 coin with a gold CAC sticker. It would be like extra credit in school.

    BTW--that was a joke!

CAC stickers are...ugh, dont get me started on that again. An MS or PR 70 is the ultimate. If you want yours with sprinkles on top, fine. I'd rather not pay extra.

An MS-70 with a CAC sticker is like saying something is "very unique". How can something be more unique? Likewise, how can a perfect coin be more than perfect?

Even coins with MS-70 or PR-70 aren't perfect , there will always be small imperfections if you look close enough , I would never pay extra money for a 70 coin the difference in price is just not worth it , most 70 grades are given to modern proof and made for collector Unc. JMO

I don't think you can get an MS70 with a gold CAC. Doesn't that mean that they would approve it if it were 1 grade higher? Do I need to wrap my befuddled mind around MS71 now?

Was it really not funny at all, or did everybody miss it because the font was not big enough or blue enough!

No. It means that they agree with the TPGs grade. Talk about grade-flation, sheesh.

    Mike,

The green sticker means that CAC agrees with the TPG's assigned grade and is in the high end for that grade. The gold sticker signifies that the CAC thinks the coin is undergraded.

I have to get out from under this rock more often! I think the computer business is getting in the way of my coin business!!!

I guess it shows how much I have paid attention to CAC stickers
