    I wish I had the extra $$.. I would Jump on it.. I think.. If correct.. I think it could sell if sold correctly for much more..

    I can tell you that if it was from France, I would be willing to bid quite a bit more than $350 for it. But from USA, I really have no clue. I guess I'll know in about 7 minutes :)

    Wow! I wish I had seen this thread sooner. I'm only starting to get into currency, but I would have loved to have that for the historical significance. I'd have to say literally only a handful of those are still around and at $700 and change someone got a bargain.

    I have to agree completely, Coleguy, if I were to have seen this sooner, I would have bid at least 2 times what it went for. In the right auction I think it could have realized 10-20 times what it went for. I regularly watch the Antiques Roadshow, and this is something I could imagine seeing there and being appraised at $30,000 - $40,000.
    Just my opinion,
    wish I had seen this thread earlier.
