(Advertence: I will only ship to a U. S. address.) For a total of six possible points, each question is worth one point. If two or more accounts finalize tying for first place, then the victory would go to the individual with the earliest post. The prize will be a 1963-D Washington quarter. This contest will end tomorrow (2012-01-31) at 11:00 hours (UTC-05:00). Simply post your response(s) on this thread. Question 1
vegetable animal mineral castor pale whale benzene olive neatsfoot glycerin coconut lard trichloroethylene
Upon a steel surface at 77ºF, which of the above is the most efficient lubricant to diminish static friction? Question 2 (In this question, a correct answer may vary.) In million psi, what's the modulus of elasticity in tension of Rhenium? Question 3 (The following question is quite general, but because I expect a general response.) In an automated, high-speed, desk calculator, what would be a logical operation? Question 4 In the Argentine Republic, which law obliges all automobiles in movement (through public street) to possess a fire extinguisher? Question 5 Utilizing the following information... date: 1972-02-02 latitude: 29° 55′ S longitude: 57° 58′ W time: 14:27:00 system: geocentric houses: Placidus What's the declination of the asteroid 511 Davida? Question 6 Particularly in Argentine truco, considering the following hands: a) 12, 12, 3 versus b) 7 (not a "bravo"), 2, 3 a) If one were to commence, which would be the initial card that will provide the firmest chance of winning truco? b) If one were to commence, which would be the initial card that will provide the firmest chance of winning truco? This should really be a PM contest because if one person gets the first 3 and the next person gets the last three, then the third person can put them together for a 100%
This shall be a transparent, educational contest; consequently, all response must be accommodated in "reply to thread".

My attempt Really tough questions! Question 1: I’m going to take the cheap way out and guess. Vegtable oils at room temp seem kind of thick as does lard. Of the ones that are left I only recognize glycerin and whale oil as lubricants. I’m going to go with saving the whales and guess glycerin. Question 2 I had no way to guess this one. Quick Google found this: http://www.espimetals.com/tech/rhenium.pdf which says 460 Gpa. You asked for it in million psi. I used http://www.unitconversion.org/pressure/gigapascals-to-psis-conversion.html and got 66.717359 million psi. Question 3 I was thinking +,-,*,/, but those are arithmetic and not “logical” operations. Even though most general purpose desk calculators don’t have such operations I’m going to pick from a few logical operations (AND, OR, NOT, INVERT) and say AND. Question 4 1.Murphy’s law: What can go wrong will go wrong. Ha. 2. Steal the previous posters anwer (Spanish) Ley Nacional de Transito N° 24.449 Art. 40 Requisitos para circular, Ins: “F†I’ll go with #2. Question 5 No clue. I say 40 degrees. I feel too guilty to steal another one of Shamrock111’s answers. Question 6 I have never played Truco but wiki shows card ranking. I suppose it is best to play highest ranks first. So, player “a” should go with his “3” while player “b” should go with …. You said not a “bravo” but maybe it is “gold”? If it is 7 of gold player “a” should play that. Otherwise, the “3”. Thanks for the contest! At least I learned something about driving in Argentina !
Q1: Benzene Q2: 66.7 Q3: AND, OR, XOR, NOT Q4: Ley Nacional de Transito N° 24.449 Art. 40 Requisitos para circular Ins: “F” Q5: Not a clue. I'll go with shamrocks 0.1" Q6: a) 3 b) 7 if it is of swords or gold, otherwise it would be the 3

I feel extremely stupid here..I am not 100% sure of what the questions actually are! I DO know that almost all of the ingredients in your first question can be used in making handmade soap! And that GLYCERIN is a byproduct of that process!! And Castor Oil is wonderful in Shampoo.. And pale whale... well, not in this country.. I surely will look later at what all the answers turned out to be. Nice of you to have this contest for some very bright folks here. Lucy
time for some random guesses! 1. coconut 2. I will round it up to 67 million PSI 3. and 4.Ley Nacional de Transito N° 24.449 Art. 40 5.20deg 57' 30" 6. 3 or 7

Lard is the second lubricant with greatest efficiency to diminish static friction. From the Penitentiary, it would be 20°57'18" S. For a 20$ piece, it would have to be a two-hour contest and with second-order logic as the topic. Excluding examples and suppositions, a general response for a logical operation may be the following: an operation where the desk calculator must pronounce itself based on result(s) of anterior arithmetic operation(s). What it would utilize to culminate with another result, is something that will not necessarily represent a logical operation. In the question, the word "operation" is abandoned as a broad term; as consequence, there was sufficient angle to deviate it towards an inconsistency. Considering the aforementioned words, permit me to admit that I was hoping to receive some sort of valid association between an arithmetic operation and a logical operation. In actuality, perhaps a complete example would have fructified my gusto. On a side note, it seems dubious that no one inclined itself against possible decisions. Upon subsequent, personal ratiocination, a supposition of a decision would have maintained a greater degree of validity. Lucyray, you're an enchantment. I thank you for your words.
