    Hello all,

I am new here and rather ignorant (sorry about that) but trying to learn!

A little background, I own a pawn shop and have been buying silver coins for years but never really gave much thought to the different varieties until recently. Now I spend half of my day with them.

I am curious as to you opinions if this is a 42/1? It does not look as pronounced as others I have seen in pictures. Also what is going on with the Y? I have not been able to find anything showing a die break for this year.

Thank you all for your info!

Not a 42/1, and the area by the Y is damage.
