Questions about this counterfeit coin I found..

I found this fake 8 reale a couple days ago while metal detecting. Is there any collectablitly with counterfeit coins? Were 8 reale mexican coins commonly faked? I think its a neat find. I know condition is everything but this was in the dirt for years. Any info will be appreciated. Thanks, Jim
