I am thinking about submitting my 1928 Peace dollar to PCGS, or NGC, for grading. I was wondering what youse guys think the grade might be, and, most importantly, what is the process for submitting it. I am an ANA member, so I guess I can submit it somehow, I never tried. Can't seem to find the info online, but I am sure someone here knows the procedure. Pictures follow:
For NGC, you would have to use the "EarlyBird" tier which is $30 and return shipping & insurance would be $19.70 additional. I'm not familiar with the procedure for submitting under the ANA membership. From what I can see, there are quite a few distracting marks, so I would guess that it would grade AU. Chris
I would agree with that analysis, dont think it would make it past A/U 55 would be My guess based on the pic,s provided
Are you sure it's genuine ? I've been looking and looking and I can't tell if it is or not. Granted, most of the diagnostics require a closer look than I can get with your pics, but the rays in the tiara do not match up to any of the 5 known dies for this coin. But you, with the coin in hand may be able to see something I cannot. Take a look - http://www.vamworld.com/1928-P+VAMs
