Looking for someone in the know.

From looking a the Japanese mint site it looks as if the Cherry Blossom Proof sets are only available in country or to a very few select dealers Downies being the one I found that has a US address but they have non e listed. From the Japaese language side of the Mint it looks as if the sets from 2006 to present are still available. Anyone know if these sets predate 2006 or was that the first year they started minting them? Anyone know a dealer that minght have these in stock? Also looking for a reputable source for Chinese Pandas. Looking for years of 2004 and 2009 for both of the above.

Japanese mint sets date back to 1967. For quite a few years they were housed in PVC-laden folders.

Unfortunately, unless you have a contact in Japan who can purchase mint sets & commemoratives for you, Downies and Ebay are essentially the only sources.

So far as Pandas go, the only thing I know about them is that they are Chinese bullion.
