I occasionally search the term "ancient coin" within the last month on youtube to see recent content. I came across the above video today. A few of the coins seemed questionable due to fabric. Wondering if anyone else had a similar opinion or if anyone recognizes any of these from recent auctions; as i believe they would stand out. The Ptolemy I Soter Tet, Aurelius Au, and Thasos Tet seem very questionable; maybe due to the "AncientJoe" quality. If all are authentic, it is quite the "little" collection.
Nothing jumped out at me as being fake-- a nice "little" collection indeed! Edited to add: There's a funny spot on the center of the Philip II tetradrachm reverse. It looks like the bronze core of a fouree but the appearance may be different in hand.
Can I trade some of my collection for these highlighted coins? I am the wrong person to ask, but I see nothing wrong with these coins even though I see what TIF is talking about. More than likely not a fouree IMHO.
At the resolution shown here we could not tell for certain that these were not a set of 'greatest ancient coin' replicas as issued by companies like Franklin Mint over the years. As a group, I would be more likely to accept them as real if the set included a coin or two that is not a standard super coin.
