The first two photos are of a 1942 Mercury dime I found. I was wondering if the blank space on the obverse and the curve imprinted on the reverse were errors or some type of damage.

I also found a 1968 copper penny that has strange characteristics. The obverse is very raised like it was punched more than once, but there's no doubling that's visible. The reverse seems normal other than the Lincoln Memorial seems slightly deformed. It looks identical to this penny currently on eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1c-One-Cent...305055?hash=item51d0f89d1f:g:ksUAAOxymcdRhW1g

I'm just curious if these are actually errors, or some other problem with the coins.

The Merc is PMD, Post Mint damage.

The Lincoln cent? I don't see anything unusual
