i guess if you wanted to keep them together as a set. id say send it back. If you dont plan on keeping them as a set them leave it as is. Its really more about what you like. I my self would send it back because id keep them and sell them as a set

Did you send them the 20th Anniversary Set open or was it still sealed in the box from the mint??
If you opened the box that was shipped to you than NGC didn't mess up....
If you did send it in un-opened then NGC should re-do it for you---but more than likely they will charge you $5 for re-slabing it.

I didn't send them in the sealed back but they did mess up. You can only get the Reverse silver proof in the 3 piece silver aniversary set so they give the the special label for the reverse proof only. The guy on the phone said indeed that was a screw up.

As of this release, all 2006 reverse proof coins will be eligible for this pedigree and label regardless of mint packaging, as these are only sold in Twentieth Anniversary sets. Uncirculated and proof coins with W mintmark will not qualify for the designation if not submitted in sealed packaging.

In the event that error labels become collectible, perhaps you could get a premium for yours. Just keep the e-mail copies admitting the mistake and a copy of the web page.
I can see it on Ebay now: "Regular label $35.99, error label $599! Very limited error, possibly unique! Less produced than 1804 silver dollars!"
Hey, could you get them to certify the label to ensure that the error as genuine?
They could say: "2006 reverse Proof $1, with reverse label, brown" "As issued, MS-69 label."
    Just think: a slabbed slab.
    Neat idea.

LOL! A slabbed slab. I love it!
I believe I will just keep it the way it since it is unique. It does say 20th Anniversary set on it which is fine with me.

Who knows maybe someone on Ebay will pay top dollar in the future!

hello,i would return it to be re-done,any value or future value is for a complete set,the way it is now no one would consider it a set,i spoke with ngc and pcgs today to clarify the rules for grading these sets and as was mentioned above,if the set has been opened the only coin that will get the 20th anniv.designation.is the reverse proof! hope this helps!

Thanks. The other coins from the 3 coin set (The Proof W and Unc W) I sent in to NGC were not in the sealed box so they didn't get the 20th anniversary designation and I wasn't expected them to get it. Guess I will have one set with all brown labels and 2 sets with 2 brown labels and 1 black label for the reverse proof.

I still plan on keeping the reverse proof brown label. Could possibly be the only one NGC made a mistake putting a brown label on it. It does say 20th anniversary set on it so that is good enough for me. I also don't want to spend the money and time to ship it back insured and wait a month or so to get it back.
