Question on a Bahamas coin

    Hello-
    I hate to post this without a picture but I am at work right now and a friend brought in a very nice looking coin. Looks like a gold coin. On the obverse it has a picture of elizabeth II and around the coin it has "Commonwealth of the Bahamas*Independence. On the reverse it has a picture of a nice bird facing east with 1976 and Fifty Dollars. Hard to find anything on it. Anyone have a clue on this coin? Sorry again for no pictures.

    Krause #69. Mintage 2.207 million, 2.73 grams 22K gold, .0804 oz pure.

    I sold two of these coins on Ebay in January and February 2004 for US $41 and $46.
