I've been collecting coins for about 2 years now. And just recently I have been getting into paper money. I was wondering what I should be looking for in pocket change? I hear stories about poker notes, radar notes, and stuff of that nature. Also serial #'s that repeat (like 5 of the same number or what have you). What should I look for and what makes a bill collectible? Thanks in advance! oh by the way I have these bills so far. I dont plan on selling them. But would like a value if there is any.:: 1934a $10 E31077218A 1963 $5 Red seal A33710895A 1957 $1 K28899131A 1957 $1 W09845019A 1963b $1 G92345745H 1988a $1 F20331509V 1999 $1 C12327703* 2003 $1 E10391964* 2003 $1 E10755035* 2003 $1 B08624132* 2003 $1 B08470066* 2003 $1 D39999967B
Hey man, I can't tell you much in the way of valuation, but I can tell you that "poker notes" are those that have "poker hands" built into their serial numbers. For instance: bills with serial numbers similar to the following would have the following hands: A18473928B = "High Card" G13386595D = "1 pair of 3's" X38854992G = "2 pair of 8's and 9's" F12456783H = "4 to 8 straight" T11158699B = "full house, 1's full of 9's" N14366660M = "four of a kind, 6's" A12345678J = "Royal flush" Not too sure what a "radar note" is, but I would guess that it's a note with a serial number that is palindomic, such as "A19252975B". The "92529" is the same forwards as backwards, just like the word "radar." That's probably it. And the longer the palindrome (from 121, 1331, 13531, 157751, to a full palindrome of X12344321X which uses all 8 numerals and both letters), the better the "radar" note is. ~AJ
Here's another for instance: my wallet right now has the following poker hands and radar notes: High card: DC35635960A 1 Pair: ED37160533A, DG82968411A Radar only: CG68647267C, K52461818E Radar with 1 pair: BJ70073462A, CB02828334B Radar with 2 pair: EL95906611D
Radar notes are ones with the notes in the same order backwards as well as forwards - '12344321'. Aidan.
