Okay, this penny was an extra thrown in on an Ebay purchase...It is obviously artificially colored on the obverse (i think..Looks like shoe polish or something), but my question is about the Reverse...It appears almost "steel" colored...Thoughts????
wow, that is strange...wow probably doesn't have a ton of numismatic value because of the pmd coloring, I think it looks pretty darn interesting....guess its just that strange part of the brain that we all share that makes us like 60 year old pennies so much.
That coin appears to be to have been dipped, the obverse re-colored with something like Dellers, and the reverse left to its own accord and having retoned an artificial-looking color.
Well it's about like 99.9% of the coins made. Been treated like a coin used and abused. One has to wonder how many of the 746 million of them Denver cranked out that year are still around?
You a wise guy, huh??? That's why your dog is Edited forums rule language ugly. Would love to feed him to one of my snakes. lol
Not really but just think what all has happened in the 61 years that coin has been floating around. BTW I might of put it into a cigar box back then as we got new D's back in Kansas pretty soon after they were released. Would of went well with the arrow heads we found back then.
FYI, I was really kidding about your dog...I'm a huge dog lover, and know how attached people become to their animals...Just wanna make that clear! Your dog is NOT ugly, my friend! Thanks for the feedback. Scott
