i believe i just found the 002. the coin on copper coins they have listed only has markers for MDS. i don't have the scatch under the U. now just for the sake of conversation...if i have it attributed and it is an EDS do i get credited for finding it?? if not, then i am not going to waste the time and effort. unfortunately it is the best pic i can get
Comparing the "IN" with Crawfords photos , I don't believe it is the 002 at this point. The date and "LIBERTY" is easier to detect. I am not sure of the "attribution" you are asking about. Generally they don't show markers that "don't yet exist" such as on an EDS coin, only after they begin to exist, and evidently that is during the MDS stage on this coin.So no, they wouldn't post a photo of a "no scratch under the U", as that is the normal condition of a cent, and would be no help in identifying it as 002.
