I have a question about what you actually receive back from the major grading services once you submit a coin. Do they only send the coin back in its little coffin with a grade and no explanation as to why it recieved the grade it did? Or do they provide a short write up or maybe a copy of a checklist they used while looking over the coin? Im of course assuming they have a standardized checklist of some sort.
No write up, just coins in "coffins". One must remember that the average coin only gets 10-15 seconds of scrutiny, which allows no time for cheery little notes from the graders.
900 pretty much answered your question , but some will give you a code or reason why it was detailed , like AT , Improper cleaning etc. rzage
But that is only if the coin is put in a Details slab or a Genuine slab. I think the OP was asking about regular slabs.
