I submitted some coins for grading at anacs, and paid for the 2 day service, and they were received yesterday. Unfortunately today is a black out date, and that continues until the 11th. Am I right in assuming I won't receive my grades until the 12th? I hope not. I should have checked the black out dates before I sent the coins in. :headbang: :headbang:

It's any date where the coin company is doing on site grading.

Since many of the graders will be at the Long Beach Show in California (February 8th through the 10th), hence the reason for the "black out" dates where grading can't be done if graders are NOT at the home office.

All of the top TPG's have black out dates. You need to check the show schedules. If there is a decent show where the TPG's will be exhibiting, 99% of the time they will call it a "black out" date.

You may not get the grades until the 15th. Usually they don't enter the coin into their system and start counting until the day after it is received. But today through the 11th are blackout days, the 12th is a Sunday when they won't be working, so it may start counting until Monday the 13th. Then it is on 2 day service so grades sould be available on the 14th or 15th.

They state on their page that they include the day the coin has been received. So I'm hoping it's in. They also charged me on the 7th, so that indicates to me that my coins are in process. I'm just being optimistic though.
