    Yup.
David Sear is a renown expert on ancient coins.
I have several series by him - Greek and Roman.
He also certifies ancient coins in that they are original and not fakes.
He has a fee around $50 (i Think)
Any coin he certifies, you can be assured it is not a fake.
I have never used his services. If I get anything good, I would submit to him.
I don't think he grades them - BUT DO NOT QUOTE ME ON THAT.

I agree. I don't collect ancients but I have a couple of books by Sear and I know he is a well-respected expert. Based on his reputation I would think his certification service would be good.
