At work today I saw a star 2003 $5 and put it aside till I could look it up. I see stars all of the time and usually pass them up because of the condition. This one isn't in UNC by any means. It is crisp though without any marks but does have a center fold and a few little wrinkles (in my opinion it's in really good condition though). I can't post a pic now cuz I'm at work. My question though is I looked it up in my Redbook paper money book and it's a 2003 with Marin and Snow. L12 (San Francisco) with a print of 3,200,000. In UNC it has a value of $40. Do you think it's worth saving not in UNC? If so what do you think the value might be? Thanks in advance!
As these things generally go save it if you can at least until you have a better sample. I think there are tons of chcu examples out there so I doubt that the value on yours will ever be much over face. BTW - Happy New Year
I agree. Although I do save quite a few, easier because I see quite a few since they made so many. I generally save the best examples to keep, the rest I acumulate and spend at coin shows.
