Came across a 1985 P quarter with a lot of errors. On the obverse I'm not sure but looks like doubling of the rim if there is such a thing. On the reverse I'm once again not sure but maybe a die break along the left wing. Also there's something with the rim and either a strike through grease or a worn die. Please any help would be greatly appreciated. "Trying to learn something new every day"
I see some minor "errors" but nothing which is notable. Just fast minting processes. Lots of coins have minor rim misalignments, especially the "sandwich" types.
The issue on the Obverse is a simple Misaligned Die Strike. It's a Double Rim. In this case the word doubled is not used because it is a Striking Error and not a Die Variety.
