It seems with the 2005 and 2006 satin finish mint sets being prominent, the business strike MS-68 or better quarters are hard to find and pricey. In order to get these more affordably, should I be buying or obtaining rolls? Am I likely to find an MS-68 or better quarter in a roll or a bag?

You will spend some time finding them, but they will only cost you $.25 (plus cert fee). Then again you may not find any at all (68's are not that common). Basically you will not find a 68 in a roll, maybe one coin in 1000 rolls if that.

The best bet is to spot check coins. This was especially true in the old days when the biggest problem was the horrid strikes caused by worn dies but still has some validity today. Look around at as many ofthe coins as you can and when you find a really nice well struck one go to the bank it originated and ask for a box or two of coins. When you find them get as many as possible and pick through for the gems at your liesure.

You may have your sights set much too high. MS-68 is scarce for most moderns and even MS-67 may be too tough in most cases.
