I have not been finding any US Territory Quarters in my change at all. Last fall, I got a few in change but now nothing. I know the mintages are relatively small but who is hoarding these quarters? Two of the Territory Quarters I have never seen at all. Also, the pennies with the new designs are scarce in circulation. Are they also being hoarded?
Same with me. I have only ran into a DC and Guam both D's. When people hear low mintage they automatically hoard as many as they can get. Either way it takes a while for more current coins to get into general circulation.
I just went ahead and got all of them uncirc'd from Littleton. Each set was around $5, so I ended up getting five sets. Prior to that I had only found (1) in circulation.
Quarters Sadly, it looks like I also might have to buy them from Littleton. The fun is in getting them from circulation though. Living in New York City, we never get a "D" from circulation. Eventually they will get circulated but they'll be in AU circulation. I got all the "P" state quarters from circulation but they had much larger mintages. The commemorative Lincoln cents I only got 2 of all of 2009 !
I just started putting together an entire state quarter book for with my girls, and we have found all the territory quarters in P, but no all in D yet. I am in the DC area though.
None here in Fort wayne, Not sure when they were released though sometimes It takes awhile to filter down to us commoners.....LOL
Instead of buying them from Littleton and paying extreme premiums, try trading with members of cointalk in the Open forum. I had found all of the D's in Texas and traded for the P's. Works great!
